25 November, Lusaka – United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) staff joined colleagues from the Gender in Development Division (GIDD) to march down the streets of Lusaka to kick off the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Based Violence in Zambia on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. The UNDP Country Director Ms Viola Morgan joined the Minister of Gender and Women’s Development Hon. Sarah Sayifwanda, MP, at the Mulungushi International Conference Centre to raise awareness about the physical, sexual, economic, psychological and social-cultural forms of gender based violence that many women are still subjected to in Zambiambia. More
