Yesterday passed by in a blur of plane flights (landings in Entebbe, Addis Ababa, Dubai and finally Bangkok).
The eighteen-hour flight on three different planes and several time zones threw me for a loop. when I arrived at the Suvarnabhumi Airport, no one was there to pick up and I strugled to get a taxi to drop me at the Amari Watergate Hotel.
Bangkok, the capital city of Thailand, is a gigantic Asian metropolis (population over ten million), which has nevertheless kept under its modern appearance and noise a lot of the taste of traditional Thailand. The most pleasant way to move around the city and beat its infamous trafic is to use one of the several types of boats which ply the Chao Phraya river. This is my occasion to discover the city water life along its teak-houses lined canals.
In peace
Fidele
